The Human Printer

Louise Naunton Morgan is a Graphic Design Graduate from Central Saint Martain's. I have been lucky enough to have seen a selection of her work at the graduate show at the OXO tower in London. The Human Printer is a project in which she roped friends in to help her create images without the use of a machine. The idea was to produce an alternative to the predictable images produced from the machines we use today. This was achieved by replacing the role of the machine with humans. The humanprinter is controlled by the process of using CMYK halftones created on the computer.

Louise's detailed, systematic and illustrative style is inspiring to look at. The vast amount of time in which she takes to produce each piece is clearly evident throughout all her projects.
