I came across several posters situated in the main square of a small island, Ithica in Greece this summer. I was immediately drawn to each poster's eye catching imagery and simplicity in order to communicate the concept.
These posters are the winning pieces from a competition 'ten images for Ithica,'which began in 2002 in an attempt to reinforce the cultural image of Ithica. This years competition theme was 'I,' which was immediately apparent from the winning images. I particularly liked this illustrated design. The designer has tried to convey 'I' by expressing himself in levels, which has produced an honest and humorous piece.
